Now, Vero residents can join the ranks of urban dwellers by making a regular visit to their new neighborhood gourmet coffee and tea café, Big Cup.
Big Cup features gourmet coffee, and espresso beverages both hot and cold, exotic loose-leaf teas and icy specialty beverages. Offering fast service for those on the go, guests can also relax in comfortable ambiance with pleasing music and peruse the paper, or bring their laptops and take advantage of the café’s WIFI Internet service. Big Cup’s gift corner has unique items for those who wish to feed their passion for the perfect cup.
Formerly the Patio Seafood Market, the facility was destroyed in the twin storms. The reconstruction provided owner Tom Beaver the opportunity to move in a new direction. The interior of the new Big Cup is reminiscent of a casual urban bistro, the kind of friendly neighborhood cafe you’ll find in San Francisco, New York or even Paris. Owner, Tom Beaver observed "Vero has discriminating residents who appreciate all the finer things, including a good cup of coffee. Of course, our goal is to provide the alternative to an “average joe”! Big Cup features all sorts of whipped, frothy, icy, flavored and even sugar free beverages. Big Cup also offers freshly baked confections from muffins to scones to biscotti and specialty gourmet juices and sodas.
Big Cup is open early for a quick stop on the way to the office and stays open til 8, for the harried who need an afternoon or early evening cool down. And, if you are looking for the newest trends in the industry, Big Cup serves “bubble tea”, which has become a favorite of people seeking a healthy yet satisfying dessert-like frozen treat. Bubble tea is served with an oversized straw to deliver the dark purple pearls of tapioca along with the icy and milky flavor of your choice. All the rage in areas like Denver Colorado, bubble tea has yet to be fully discovered by the East Coast. “People who know of bubble tea come in search of it,” said Beaver. “It’s not as sweet as most frozen beverages and delivers the health benefits of green tea.”
